About Sea Change Cannabis

Empowering our community through cannabis education, access, and compassion.

At Sea Change Cannabis, we believe cannabis is more than a product. It’s a path to healing, self-discovery, and freedom. Since opening our doors in 2014, we’ve remained dedicated to empowering our community through education, compassionate care, and high-quality, fairly priced cannabis.

As the first legal cannabis dispensary in Jefferson County, and the fifth in Washington State, we’ve proudly served as pioneers in the Pacific Northwest cannabis movement. Our original home, a humble log cabin by the water in Discovery Bay, became a symbol of history in the making. Locals lined up around the building to celebrate the end of prohibition and purchase legal cannabis for the first time in Jefferson County.

Local Roots, Lifelong Values

In 2019, Sea Change Cannabis found new energy under the ownership of Travis and Nicole Mason: Jefferson County residents, Port Townsend alumni, and lifelong advocates of liberty and local values, alongside partner Nate Harrington. Together, they’ve carried forward the spirit and soul of Sea Change with a commitment to quality, integrity, and personal connection.

From day one, we’ve remained a family-owned, locally operated dispensary with deep roots in the community. Our mission is simple. We honor our hard-won rights as Washingtonians by offering access to high-quality cannabis, supporting medical patients, and curating a retail experience grounded in trust, education, and respect.

Medical-Grade Care Meets Curated Craft

In July 2016, we earned Washington State’s medical cannabis endorsement, allowing us to serve medical patients with care and professionalism. We’re authorized to process medical authorizations and issue medical cannabis ID cards, offering a safe and knowledgeable environment for those seeking natural alternatives.

With over a decade of experience, we’ve explored hundreds of products, producers, and processors, handpicking our menu with intention. We partner with farms and companies that share our values of sustainability, transparency, and quality, offering a selection that reflects our years of dedication and discernment.

Knowledgeable, Friendly, and Always Here for You

The People Behind the Counter

Meet the Team

Travis Mason | Co-Owner & COO

Travis brings a hands-on, community-first approach to his role as Co-Owner and Chief Operating Officer of Sea Change Cannabis. He manages the dispensary’s day-to-day operations and executes its strategic vision. He ensures that reliability, compliance, and operational excellence are at the forefront of everything the shop does. For Travis, cannabis became more than a product — it became a calling. His passion is sourcing quality products and helping provide trusted cannabis to the local community.

He finds the greatest reward in helping customers and patients find products that genuinely improve their quality of life. Hearing that someone found relief through a recommendation never gets old.

Travis gravitates toward prerolls for their convenience and enjoys indica-leaning terpene profiles, especially myrcene-rich cultivars. Outside of work, he enjoys mountain adventures, spending time with his family, and being outdoors.

Nicole Mason | Co-Owner & CFO

As a co-owner and the Chief Financial Officer of Sea Change Cannabis, Nicole keeps the gears turning behind the scenes to support a seamless, premium experience for Jefferson County. While you might not spot her on the shop floor every day, her deep passion for the industry and dedication to the team drive the dispensary’s mission forward. Nicole is committed to fostering a welcoming, secure, and educational environment where every local patron feels supported and valued.

Her personal connection to the industry began in 2015 when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and issued a medical cannabis card. Discovering firsthand the profound relief and wellness support cannabis provides, she felt a powerful calling to the industry.

Outside of work, Nicole finds balance by cherishing quality family time and embarking on outdoor adventures.

Isaiah Mason – Merchandising Manager & Budtender

Isaiah joined Sea Change because he believed in helping build a family business rooted in community and care — something meaningful that could be passed down for generations.

One of his favorite parts of the job is when customers return smiling after a recommendation worked perfectly for them. Flower is his preferred form of cannabis, especially joints, spliffs, and the occasional glacier water bong hit.

When he’s not at the shop, Isaiah enjoys golfing, disc golf, basketball, hiking, camping, working out, and spending time outdoors with friends.

Chris Adkins – Assistant Manager & Medical Consultant

Chris entered the cannabis industry through his own experience using cannabis therapeutically for his asthma. Once he discovered the depth of cannabis education and wellness potential, he became passionate about helping others navigate cannabis intentionally and confidently.

He believes what makes Sea Change truly special is its authenticity, compassion, and commitment to education — values he feels throughout the entire team. His favorite part of the work is helping customers and patients build trust in cannabis through thoughtful education and personalized guidance.

Flower is his preferred method of consumption, especially through dry herb vaporization. He enjoys a wide range of terpene profiles, with particular appreciation for limonene and linalool-rich cultivars.

Outside of cannabis, Chris enjoys spending time in nature with his wife and two cats, listening to music, meditating, and continuing his passion for cannabis education.

John Sanders – Budtender

John came from a time when cannabis was still illegal, making the opportunity to openly combine his passion for cannabis and customer service especially meaningful.

He enjoys taking the time to truly listen to customers and help guide them toward products that fit their specific needs and goals. John appreciates all forms of cannabis consumption — from a freshly packed bowl to edibles, dabs, and topicals.

Outside the shop, he enjoys hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, exploring historical sites, and staying active. He’s also a strong believer in incorporating cannabinoids like CBG and CBD into workout and recovery routines.

Paige Schenk – Budtender

Paige first fell in love with Sea Change as a customer, drawn to the welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable team, and thoughtful product selection. Knowing the Mason family long before joining the team made becoming part of Sea Change feel natural — and once she joined, that sense of family was only reinforced.

She especially enjoys helping customers discover products that support relaxation, pain management, and better sleep. Edibles are one of her personal favorites, alongside flavorful prerolls with fruity terpene profiles.

Outside the shop, Paige loves spending time outdoors exploring local beaches and trails, with camping adventures alongside her family being one of her favorite ways to recharge.

Sampson Mason – Head of Human Relations

Sampson takes his role as Sea Change Cannabis’s Head of Human Relations very seriously. Whether he’s greeting customers behind the counter, accepting well-deserved ear scratches, or conducting routine quality-control inspections of snacks, Sampson is dedicated to making every visit a little brighter.

With years of experience in tail wagging, morale boosting, and creating smiles, Sampson specializes in helping guests feel welcome the moment they walk through our doors. His approach is simple: kindness, curiosity, and the occasional demand for belly rubs.

When he’s not at Sea Change, Sampson enjoys adventures with his family, exploring local trails, supervising the staff, and perfecting the art of the afternoon nap.

Stop by and say hello to Sampson—the hardest-working dog in cannabis and the heart of the Sea Change family.
